Matt’s marriage is teetering on the brink of collapse. His wife is restless and has enrolled in a night class which leads to a bizarre sequence of events that threaten to push their marriage over the edge. As events unfold Matt is lead into a realm of darkness and deceit in search of a love that may already be lost.Down By The River is a fast and furious play, familiar and yet strange, comic and yet tinged with a soulful sense of loss.

Manteca perform a repertoire of authentic mambo, cubop, latin jazz and bossa nova tunes by artists including Dizzy Gillespie, Chick Corea, The Buena Vista Social Club as well as their own original material. The band consists of Des McCarthy & Nick McCabe (percussion), Fergal McGirl (bass), Orla Cunningham (piano), Katrin Goldbeck (alto sax) and Chris Turner (tenor sax). The band has performed around Dublin and surrounding areas for almost ten years at events and venues including the Drogheda Samba Festival, Derry Holloween Festival, Bank of Ireland Arts Centre, Moat Theatre (Naas), The K Club, Crawdaddy and The Sugar Club.
Entheos are a hardworking Dublin band who draw on their roots in the gritty side of rock, contemporary folk, classical and traditional music to create a sound that is unique, sometimes dark, and consistently hard to define.
Described by Hot Press as “a five-pieceacoustic unit that play a gritty form of guitar-driven folk…with galloping rhythms… attractive mid Eastern flavours, sturdy bodhrán and gutsy vocals” Entheos have made a name for themselves as an outstanding live act playing venues such as The Cobblestone, The Grand Social, Whelan’s, The Village, amongst others around Leinster and in far flung places such as Warsaw in Poland! Entheos have also played support to some of the biggest names in Irish music, including Damien Dempsey, Grada and Kila. They are due to release their new E.P in September 2012.
